Job Overview

We are a small structural steel fabricator and erector serving the NE Oklahoma region. We are looking for a entry level applicant to come help our project management team. Duties and responsibilites would be helping track submittals and schedules, helping PMs with ongoing projects and problems and learning the steel industry as it pertains to the commercial construction sector. Intention for this position is to develop into a valued member of our growing team.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in supporting the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects while ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, a solid understanding of construction processes, and experience with various construction management software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and management of project schedules using tools such as ProCore.
• Coordinate project activities, ensuring effective communication among team members and stakeholders.
• Utilize construction estimating techniques to prepare accurate project budgets and forecasts.
• Oversee project documentation, including contracts, schematics, and blueprints, ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to facilitate timely delivery of materials and services.
• Implement time management strategies to optimize project workflows and resource allocation.
• Support the preparation of reports detailing project status, challenges, and milestones achieved.

Experience

• Proficiency in construction management software such as Bluebeam,
• Previous experience in project coordination or management within the construction industry is essential.
• Familiarity with construction site operations and blueprint reading is required.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling principles and construction estimating practices is preferred.
