Job Title: Finish Carpenters

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Finish Carpenters with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. You will work on high-end luxury apartment projects in the greater Milwaukee area, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of these new constructions with your expertise in finish carpentry. Candidates must be safety-conscious and possess their own basic tools, as well as reliable transportation. Experience working in restaurant and retail store environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build new high-end luxury apartments.
• Install trim on walls, doors, windows, and cabinets.
• Hang doors and install cabinets.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building plans.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, metal, and other materials accurately.
• Use hand and power tools proficiently.
• Layout and assemble framing components according to specifications.
• Understand building codes, safety regulations, and construction standards.
• Solve construction challenges and troubleshoot issues on-site.
• Collaborate with crew members and supervisors effectively.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of carpentry experience.
• Experience with finish carpentry.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Accurate measuring and cutting skills.
• Knowledge of framing techniques.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Understanding of building codes and safety regulations.
• Mathematical skills for calculating dimensions.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Physical strength and stamina.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Rough Carpentry (residential or commercial experience).
• Trim Experience (2+ years).
• Finish Carpentry (2+ years).
• Hardware experience (2+ years).
• Nice to have: Cabinets or hanging doors experience, Crown molding, Using a miter saw.

Work Environment

You will work in a dynamic construction environment focused on building new apartment complexes. The current project includes a 140-unit building in downtown Milwaukee, followed by an 80-unit building. Work attire must be presentable as you will sometimes work during business hours in a professional setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $35.00/hr.
