Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Product Developer for Fashion Accessories, located in, NY. The Product Developer will be responsible for managing product development processes from concept to completion, conducting trend research, collaborating with designers and manufacturers, and ensuring products meet quality standards. Daily tasks include developing new product ideas, sourcing materials, overseeing sample production, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of products.

Job Duties

• Reviewing tech packs internally and with overseas factories to ensure accurate prototyping.
• Sourcing materials and trims from factories based on GMPC and customer design direction.
• Prepare customer quotes to review with sales rep and find creative solutions to reach target

price.

• Review all Proto, PP, and TOP samples against approved tech packs.
• Communicate with customer via PLM system or email regarding sample comments and orders.
• Internal communication with multiple GMPC offices.
• Handle vendor communication for cost negotiations, calendar alignment, development issues, lead

times, sample approvals, PP and TOP approvals, and other aspects of the product development

and production cycle.

• Manage multiple seasons at a time.
• Manage and maintain internal and customer development WIP
• Review vendor manuals and ensure that we are meeting all customer requirements for

development process.

• Review customer testing protocols with vendor partners to ensure requirements are achievable

Qualifications

• Strong Communication skills
• Experience in Research and Development (R&D) and Product Development
• Proficiency in Product Management
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience working with fashion accessories and/or apparel, including understanding of fit,

construction, color, and manufacturing processes.

• Experience working in multiple seasons, and preferably for multiple brands or imprints
• Strong attention to detail and experience working in a deadline-driven environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Adobe Illustrator
• Experience working in PLM systems
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, or related field
• 4+ years of experience in product development and/or production of accessories or apparel
