Position Summary: The Training Specialist serves as a dynamic learning and development facilitator within our community bank, helping drive performance excellence across all departments. This multifaceted role is ideal for an agile learner who thrives on curiosity, creativity, and results. The role is ideal for an individual passionate about both teaching and continuous improvement. The ideal Training Specialist must also demonstrate strong technological aptitude, confidently navigating modern learning platforms, banking systems, and digital tools to support both instruction and administration. The Training Specialist is responsible for delivering engaging in-person and virtual classes, coordinating and supporting department activities, and contributing to the design and development of innovative training solutions. Success in this role requires the ability to absorb, retain, relay, and at times create a wide array of information originating from multiple roles and areas of the bank.

Responsibilities:

  • Instructs and facilitates recurring and new training classes and webinars
  • Fosters a supportive learning environment that encourages engagement, collaboration, and knowledge retention and application.
  • Creates and delivers diverse training opportunities, materials, and resources using the most effective method
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts to craft engaging, learner-centered resources and tools
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with branch leadership, mentors, and employees
  • Drives the successful implementation of new products, procedures, and software
  • Lead administrator of the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Assist with the evaluation of learning effectiveness
  • Present complex banking concepts in a clear accessible way tailored to varied audiences
  • Performs administrative tasks such as scheduling and managing classes, maintaining training records, and preparing materials
  • Advocates for continuous improvement by bringing fresh ideas and creative solutions to training challenges
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to travel locally to branch locations
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Human Resources, or Business Administration/Management
  • Training design and delivery experience -OR- knowledge of banking terminology, regulations, policies, concepts, and processes: 2 years
  • Online LMS (Learning Management System) Administration: 1 year
  • Demonstrated creative project experience, ideally with exposure to instructional design, content development, or eLearning software
  • Experience recording and editing audio/video files
